Who provides Mantel

Mantel is supplied by Mohammed Patel, trading as Mantel, in the United Kingdom. For anything about these terms, write to support@mymantel.app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Using Mantel

Mantel is an app for organising a household: a shared plan, lists, reminders, widgets for your Home and Lock Screens, shareable invitations, and tools that read letters and messages for you. You need an account, and you must be 18 or over to hold one.

You are responsible for what you put into Mantel and for the people you invite into your household. Do not use Mantel to break the law, to store someone else's information without a reason to, or to attempt to interfere with the service.

What is free

The family plan is free and stays free: the shared week and month, lists, reminders, the daily brief, shareable invitations with replies, the Home and Lock Screen widgets, and both light and dark. Free households also get 25 AI uses each month, shared across the whole household rather than per person, which resets monthly. The daily brief does not count against that allowance - it has its own small daily one.

Mantel+

Mantel+ is an optional subscription. It includes:

Price and length. £2.99 for one month, or £24 for one year.

Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.

How to cancel. Manage or cancel in the App Store: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Payment is taken by Apple, not by us. We never see your card details. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms; if you believe you are owed one, request it through Apple.

If a subscription ends, your family, your plans and your lists remain. The paid features simply switch off, and nothing is deleted.

Your content

What you put into Mantel is yours. We store it so we can show it back to you and to the household you share it with, and for no other purpose. We do not sell it, and there is no advertising in Mantel.

Some features send what you have written to an AI model in order to answer you. The privacy notice sets out exactly what is sent and when.

Sharing outside your household

When you share an event as a link, you are publishing the fields you approved to anyone who has that link. Treat the link as public. You can switch it off at any time, and it expires by itself thirty days after the event.

Availability

Mantel is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but it may occasionally be unavailable, syncing may be delayed, and features may change or be withdrawn as the app develops. Reminders and AI suggestions are helpers, not guarantees - please do not rely on them alone for something that matters.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from a missed event, a wrong interpretation by the AI, or the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Ending it

You can stop using Mantel at any time and delete your account from inside the app - see how deletion works. We may suspend an account that is being used to harm the service or other people.

Changes

These terms may change as the app changes. If a change matters, the date above will change and the app will tell you.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
